Rio Ave FC made an important victory this afternoon in their fight for maintenance, thus breaking a series of eight games without winning on the championship. The rioavistas formation won 3-2 at Quinta dos Lombos and left the relegation zone.
The formation of Vila do Conde began with the following initial five: Bruno Santos, Balão, Lincon, Ruben Reis and Simas. Renato Pontes and Cristiano were left out of this match by punishment.

Until the end of the match, Rio Ave FC controlled the result and defended in an exemplary way his goal, thus winning the three points. Also highlighted for the expulsion of Lincon, who saw second yellow card.
